Sunday Funday with Lots of Food

I went to Sirin's place for brunch today. It was nice to catch up with her since the last time I saw her was back in October (?). We were going to meet up during the holidays, but I had to ask for a rain check because I was sick.

For dinner, I met up with Meg and Robyn and we went to the Wharf for Alexandria Restaurant week. YUM, as always. I got the shrimp fritters, jumbo crab pasta and the raspberry bread pudding. Sigh. Good thing there's CrossFit tomorrow morning!

CrossFit Games Open Workout 13.4 and a New Card

9:30 AM CrossFit, check! I worked on my wall walks and tuck holds.

WOD: CrossFit Games Open 13.4
Complete AMRAP in 7:00 of:
3 Clean and Jerk (55 lbs)
3 Toes-To-Bar (I did tuck ups)
6 Clean and Jerk
6 Toes-To-Bar
9 Clean and Jerk
9 Toes-To-Bar
12 Clean and Jerk
12 Toes-To-Bar…this was as far as I went in 7:00. I did a lot better with the tuck ups than I thought I would, yay!

I made this birthday card to send to my cousin. In retrospect, I think it would have looked better if I put the house on the right and had the empty space on the left. Oh well, I think it's still cute. Plus, I made it several times because I kept smudging the ink in one place or another.

Hang Squat Snatches and Lunch with Jessie

Ugh…this morning did not start off the best. I slipped and fell on some ice on the sidewalk on the way to my car. No injuries, thankfully…just disgruntled.

6:30 AM CrossFit, check! We worked on our hang squat snatches. Yep, still difficult. I attempted to do 5 x 2 at 40 lbs, but after a few failed attempts, the coach suggested I go back to 35 lbs.

WOD for time, 12:00 cap.
21-15-9 Wall balls (8 lbs) Box jumps (small box w plate) 1:00 REST
15-12-9 Wall balls Box jumps (20 in) 1:00 REST
9-6-3 Wall balls Box jumps (24 in) I almost forgot to do the 9 wall balls in first set, so I lost some time there. I ended up with 13:11.

I have to remember that with every workout that I hit a new PR, there will be a workout that doesn’t go quite my way. At least I had the day off. :)

I met up with Jessie, my friend from graduate school for lunch at Panera. We sat down and talked for an hour before we realized, oh yeah, we're hungry!  We should probably eat!

Push-Presses and a Surprise Interview

6:30 AM CrossFit, check! We worked on our push presses. 3 x 5 at 80 lbs. I surprised myself because I thought 75 lbs last week was already pushing my limits!

WOD…AMRAP for 9:00
10 Pistols
20 DB Power Cleans
60 single unders

I took a different route to work today, hoping there would be less snow-related traffic. Nope, wrong. 3 lanes had to merge into 1 to make room for an army of trucks and other snow removal machinery. I thought I’d be late for a 10 AM meeting and also miss the staff breakfast, but I made it just in time!

Busy day today:
  • meeting about website stuff
  • presentation to some staff
  • interview. We interviewed someone for this position not that long ago, and we all liked her. I was really confused when I got a calendar appointment for this interview, so I asked the Executive Director on what happened to the first candidate. It turns out that she lied during her interview! She said she was still working at her job, but when Human Resources called to check on her references, we found out that she has since left that job. What?! How do you lie about something like that? Yikes.
  • chat with boss about some documents that are due tomorrow to the senior director. We wanted to get them turned in today because both of us are taking the day off tomorrow. I think I’ll take the day off tomorrow!

Pull-Up Day, CrossFit Open and Mean People Suck

6:30 AM CrossFit, check! Pull-up day.

Then for the WOD: 3 rounds, in pairs
A) 150m row, 5 burpees over the rower, 2 shuttle runs
B) max sit-ups 1 minute of rest and then switch activity.

The CrossFit coaches have been encouraging use to sign up for the CrossFit Open, both at class and then specifically calling out members on their Facebook page. So...I registered. This will be a good challenge. Even if I can't do the prescribed workouts, they will have scaled versions.

I tried to do my hair a different way with a headband, but I didn’t have time to make sure that it would stay all day. Back to the old standby ponytail.

People were so impatient driving this morning since the snow is still blocking some of the lanes. Hey, I can gesture and honk my horn too (but I won’t because it wouldn’t do any good anyway). Jerks.

Digging My Car Out

Even though the federal government was closed today, I still got some work done. I have stuff that's due at the end of the week, and since those deadlines weren't going to move, I knew I needed to get cracking. I did take a break to dig my car out (11 AM vs. 12:20 PM). The CrossFit gym was open for a 4:30 PM session, but I didn't want to give up my parking space!

I'm glad that the work meeting that was supposed to happen today and tomorrow got cancelled. There's snow everywhere!

Snowstorm Jonas, Day 3

Someone challenged me to a burpee competition, so we agreed to do 100 each. I did it for time this morning. Whew! With sweat in my eyes, I tapped the lap button instead of stop, oops. Next time, I hope to be sub-10:00.

And after breakfast, I tackled my sidewalk. I'm glad that the snow was not too heavy. I'm not too happy with my neighbors who haven't done their neighborly duty of shoveling the sidewalk. Some of the townhouses stick out, so no, you don't just shovel the front...I think you should have to shovel the sidewalk around your house!  I haven't been able to access the parking lot behind my house because both access points are blocked by f-ing snow.

After approximately a month’s worth of work, I’m done with this cross-stitch project of my alma mater. In other news, work is closed tomorrow. 6:30 AM CrossFit is canceled, which is fine by me since I’ll be digging my car out from the snow. Anyone wanna help? I’ll trade dumplings, cookies, banana bread, etc. for your efforts!

Snowstorm Jonas, Continued

I woke up around 5 AM to feed RJ and then went back to sleep until 7:30 AM. I went downstairs to see how much had accumulated overnight. Oh yeah. This storm was going to be no joke, and we still had about 12 hours to go. I spent most of the day working on my cross-stitch project while watching Friends on Netflix. Sigh, there's a difference between stuck inside and stay inside by choice. The snow piled outside my door, which made opening the storm door impossible. I had 2 options: ignore it or figure out a way around it. I decided to take a screwdriver and remove the plastic part of the door. I shoveled as much as I could from the inside of the house until there was enough space for me to stand when I climbed through the door's opening. (cue: Destiny's Child- "Independent Women"). I'll tackle my sidewalk tomorrow.
Oh, sh*t!

CrossFit Pop-Up Class and Snowstorm Jonas

6:30 AM CrossFit, check. The coach was kind to open up the gym for this pop-up class, especially since the blizzard will probably close the gym for a few days. Apparently other people had the same idea since there were more people than usual for this early class. We worked on our wall-walks/handstands and tucks holds/L-sits (15 second holds each).  Yep, still difficult. My arms were shaking towards the end.

WOD. 10:00 AMRAP:
5 Shoulder to overhead (55 lbs)
10 Pull-ups
15 Walking Lunges each leg

The snow started to fall around 1 PM today, right on schedule. You know it's going to be bad when they shut down public transportation (subway, buses) and the National Mall.

Hang Squat Snatches and Mean People at Spin Class

My sister and I decided to not go to 6:30 AM CrossFit because of the icy conditions. I made it up by going to the 5:15 PM session. We worked on our hang squat snatches. 5 x 2 at 35 lbs (ugh, why are these so difficult?).

WOD…10 minute running clock.
0-1:00 Max wall balls
1:00-3:00 30 box jumps max wall balls
3:00-6:00 100 single unders, 30 box jumps, max WB
6:00-10:00 140 single unders, 30 box jumps, max WB
The challenge was to get to 80 wall balls. Mmmyeahno. I got to 36. Those box jumps slowed me down dramatically.

Off to 6:30 PM spin class. Some lady was having a total cow over how she signed up for class, but all the bikes were taken. She disappeared and came back 5 minutes later and marched to the front of hte class (by then, we were already 10 minutes into class). The instructor asked if anyone would volunteer to give up their bike. I almost did since I already got a workout in, but then the lady made some snippy comment to the girls on the bikes in front of me and huffed off. Nope, never mind, forget that! The girl in front of me actually went after her to see if mean lady wanted her bike. There was some exchange that happened on the other side of the gym (we could see them talking in the mirrors, but they were too far away to hear what was being said). The mean lady ended up not taking the bike! WTH?!

Apparently people in my area want to eat salad when they are snowed in. Meh, Oreos are far more yummy.

On a work related note, the 1.5 day meeting that my boss was preparing for Monday and Tuesday next week had to be cancelled because of the approaching blizzard.

Happy Birthday, 202Strong!

6:30 AM CrossFit, check! We worked on our pull-ups today. And then a special 1-year anniversary of the opening of the CrossFit box WOD.

As a team of four, we did…
365 air squats (for each 365 item, each girl did 90 and the guy did 95)
19 power cleans
365 sit-ups
19 push press
365 double unders (the coach modified it so that it was 250 single unders per girl bc otherwise we’d be there forever. The guy was on the bike bc of his bum ankle)
19 clean and jerk

Since we had Monday off, today was a busy day at the office! I cleaned up my minutes from last week's meeting and sent them off to a coworker so he could insert anything that I missed and a poster abstract for our annual meeting.

6:30 PM spin class, check! I haven’t been to a Tuesday night class in a while. The spin instructor commented on my “transformation” several times (What. Yikes, has it been that long???). In front of the whole class. EEK, uncomfortable spotlight. On the other hand, it’s good to know the hard work is paying off!!!

After class, I went to my parents’ house. Mom just got back from Taiwan a few hours ago with yummy food in tow. I made a beeline for the pineapple cake and mochi and gleefully stuffed my face (duh, why do you think I went to CrossFit this morning AND spin tonight?) as Mom talked about her trip.

In other news, the “homeless” cat that hangs out on my parents’ deck is in the little hut my sister built for him. He’s got a warm nest in there. This is after many weeks of my sister griping about her efforts being unappreciated.

Pull-Ups at CrossFit and a Day Off

I thought I'd get a relaxing day off. NOPE. WRONG.

Well, I got 6:30 AM CrossFit out of the way. We did pull ups and the following workout for the WOD: 2 x 750m row. When one person is rowing, the other person had to do 20 dumbbell snatches, 10 per arm.

Julie texted me when I got home to ask if I could go over to the house to check to make sure that the stove was turned off.  Sigh, ok, no big deal. It was turned off, so that was good to confirm. I then went to Costco and Target and I get another text from her, asking if I could go back to the house to get stuff that Dad needed to get a new American and Taiwanese passport. BLAH. Ok, fine. I'd be freaking out if I was in Dad's position, so I wanted to get that stuff off to him ASAP.

Sunday Funday!

I woke up really sore from Friday and Saturday's workouts, so no spin class for me today! It was a productive day anyway!
  • Worked on my cross-stitch project with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone playing in the background while watching the snow fall outside (it didn't really accumulate)
  • Did laundry and scrubbed down the kitchen
  • Did my nails.
  • Made chocolate chip banana bread from last week's leftover meeting bananas.
Happy Sunday Funday to me!

Workgroup Meeting, Day 2

Do you hear that sound? It’s my sigh of relief…my 1.5 day meeting was a success. There’s a lot to do between now and June, but it can all wait until Tuesday. I was starting to feel completely overwhelmed, but I have to remember that it's not just me that has to do this work. 3-day weekend ahead, YAY!

Because I worked a 12 hour day yesterday, I was able to go home early today after sending the workgroup members on their way. I promptly threw off all my work clothes like I stole them, got in my pajamas, and took a nap before 5:15 PM CrossFit.

We worked on our back squats tonight. 3 x 5 at 95 lbs. And the WOD was 5 rounds of 10 front rack lunges (50 lbs) and 20 sit-ups. I’ll be back for more fun tomorrow at 9:30 AM!

I caught a perfectly timed cat yawn, hah.

Workgroup Meeting, Day 1

Today’s full day meeting was a success! Everyone was participatory, and ideas were flowing. There were a few moments where it got super technical and I had no idea what was going on, but fortunately, the workgroup chair took notes on that part. There was some brainstorming on next steps and wow, these people are very ambitious about what should happen next. Hello, let's try to get to through the annual meeting in June first, okay?  Why are we even talking about building a website right now?  We have no material TO PUT UP on the website. And who do you think is going to do all this work? Um, this is not the only project that I'm working on and stuff just doesn't appear out of thin air! One step at a time, folks!

The workgroup and staff went out to dinner afterwards. I got the chicken tacos, but only ate 2 of them because I was so full from other stuff we ate today. My boss and my former committee chair gave me their leftovers since they don’t have refrigerators in their hotel rooms. Is that weird? Meh, we’re like family. Yay, I can hold off on real grocery shopping for another two days!

Here’s tonight’s stitch session. Off to bed for me…only a half day meeting tomorrow.

P.S. RIP Alan Rickman, aka Professor Snape. Also, Julie and I got an email from Dad. He lost his American and Taiwanese passports!  AHHH!  (Sigh...)

Snatches and Magic Mike XXL

6:30 AM CrossFit, check! We worked on our hang squat snatches. 5 x 2 at 30 lbs (I’m still working on form…this is a complicated move! The WOD was AMRAP…8:00 of 25 kettlebell swings (26 lbs) and 10 pull-ups (I did mine with resistance bands).

Yay for meeting breakfast leftovers! Side note: where do all the forks go in this office?! Is someone stashing them somewhere? You should get one fork with your employee handbook on your first day. If you lose it, too bad! The thought crossed my mind of bringing a pair of chopsticks to work, because unless you know how to use them, it'll be too much trouble for you to use.

I borrowed Magic Mike XXL from the library and decided to watch it tonight while I was cross-stitching since it's due tomorrow. UGH, it was awful! I mean, so bad that I didn't even finish it. Channing Tatum couldn't even save it. Maybe I wasn't in the right mind set since I have to be up early tomorrow for work and sleep was more important?

Meh, no, it was just awful. WTH? :(

Push Presses, Car Maintenance and Cross-Stitch Progress

6:30 AM CrossFit, check! We worked on our push presses. 3 x 5 at 70 lbs. WOD: 100 air squats, 50 lateral burpees (jump over the barbell and do a burpee), 100 air squats. 10:00 cap. I got through 19 of the second set of air squats.

I took my car in for maintenance before going to the office this morning. Oh, hello, cute mechanic….

And then he calls me to tell me there’s a nail in my tire (I have the worst tire luck ever!) and recommended that I get my filters changed. At least there are meeting breakfast leftovers.

Pull-Ups, Interview at the Office and Cross-Stitch Progress

Monday, ew! Sigh, let’s get this show on the road. 6:30 AM, CrossFit, check! We worked on our pull-ups. I did these on Friday and for some reason, they were harder today!  Probably because I cheated a little with swinging on Friday, ha ha.

And the WOD was: 100 single unders
5-4-3-2-1
Bear Complex: clean, front squat, press, back squat, press (45 lbs)
Box Jumps (20 inch box)
100 single unders
The goal was sub 9:00, I was able to get it done in 7:07. Whew!

The interview for the governance/executive assistant position was a success. Actually, I felt like this second interview was more of a formality. I learned that the Executive Director brought this woman in on Friday and then was so impressed with her that he brought her in today (?!). She seemed really personable and eager to get started. Well, good, you'll need that energy. You have a lot of big events coming up for you: committee applications and the Annual Meeting and I'm sure many meetings in between.

Star Wars!

After 2 intense CrossFit workouts on Friday and Saturday, I decided to take a rest day today and go see Star Wars. Now, I'm not a huge Star Wars buff, but I wanted to see what everyone is talking about. I'm glad that I went to see it in the theater because the special effects were awesome (of course). I'm also glad that I didn't go see it in IMAX with all the flying in the movie. Whoo hoo for Han Solo and Rey and BB-8. It was really well done...what a great way to spend a rest day!
My cousin texted me this picture of Dad on vacation, hah. Anyway, after going to the movie, I chilled out at home and then it was time to pick Julie up from the airport. I came back home to work more on my cross-stitch project.

CrossFit and Craft Time with Tina

9:30 AM CrossFit, check! It was funny to see some folks that were in last night’s class. Yay for us dedicated folks! I worked on my back squats. 3 x 5 at 85 lbs. I figured this was a good weight to start with since it’s the first week of the strength cycle. The WOD was 75 burpees and max clean and jerks in 7:00. It took me all 7 minutes to do the burpees. I probably could have done one rep of the clean and jerk, but my arms were jello, especially with all the rowing we did last night. It was almost like karma because a few days ago, another fitness blogger was challenged to do 100 burpees and I sorta smiled to myself like "Oh, I'm so glad that I'm not doing that." Mmmyeah. While 75 is not 100, it's still a lot! I was slightly tempted to not go, but I missed 2 classes this week and I told Maria that I was going to go, so...yeah.

By the way, I got this workout top from Target last night (along with the blue and green versions) on clearance for $3.88 (!?) and a long sleeve workout top on clearance for $8.38. Mwah ha ha. If you're looking for new workout clothes, Target had a bunch on clearance...both tops and bottoms.
My friend Michelle asked me if I could do a card-making session with my banana pudding sous chef and her card-loving friend. Oh, sure! We made origami samurai hats and several cards. I mean, check out the amazing talent. In exchange for my time and supplies (I didn’t feel comfortable accepting money from her), Michelle made me a tray of macaroni and cheese. Kitty was super curious. Commence food coma.
We made samurai hats with mouse wrapping paper.
"Macaroni and cheese? I like macaroni and cheese!" Mmhm, nice try.

Pull-Up Work and Cross-Stitch Progress

Regular telework day, hooray!

I took a break in the morning to drive Julie to the airport. She has a weekend work trip to Atlanta. It's weird to have my parents and sister out of town all at the same time. All alonnnneee. Ok ok. Enough with the dramatics.

I made it to 5:15 PM CrossFit where we worked on our pull-ups. Technically, we're supposed to work on chest-to-bar pull-ups, but since I can't do pull-ups with a little help, Level B folks worked on regular pull-ups. The resistance bands I used this time were lighter than ones I’ve used before. “Tina, stop swinging!” the coach said. Heh, okokok…well, how else do you think I’m going to be able to lift myself up?!

WOD: 10 x 150m row + 30 seconds rest. I was averaging about 33 seconds per round. There were 4 of us in class and 2 rowing machines, so we had to double up. It actually worked out fine because Chip and I went back and forth encouraging each other as we started to get more tired. My arms felt like jello all the way home. I’ll be back for more fun tomorrow morning at 9:30!
Do I look as tired as I feel?  If I do, don't tell me. All that rowing was so taxing!
More cross-stitch progress, complete with Captain America: The Winter Soldier playing in the background.

Feeling Better

Thankfully, I'm feeling better today, but not to the extent that I wanted to get dressed and go to the office. I'm glad I brought my work computer home with me so I could telework. I did make it to 6:30 PM spin class. We had a full class, so I guess the New Year's Resolutions folks are still in full force. Good for them for keeping it up! The spin instructor said she really liked the set of homemade cards I gave her last week.

Right after I closed up my work computer, I got back to my cross-stitch project. I totally ran out of red floss, so I need to remember to get some the next time I'm near the craft store.
"I don't see what's so great about you teleworking. It's not like you're giving me extra treats..."

Sick Day

I needed to take a sick day today. WTH?! This is like the third time I've gotten sick with some sort of stuffed nose/cough. I don't know if I'm recatching my own germs or I'm picking it up somewhere else. I was bummed that I missed out on CrossFit class this morning, but I figured it was better to get the rest today than extend the sickness through the weekend. I'm lucky that my boss is still on vacation and there's nothing really pressing that needs to happen work-wise.

In other news I've been making progress on my cross-stitch project.

Hang Snatches at CrossFit

OMG, brrrrr!

6:30 AM CrossFit, check! We worked on our hang snatches. I hadn’t done this movement before so I went with 25 lbs to work on technique first. I am so glad there was no running involved today.

WOD:
7:00 Ladder…3,6,9…etc.
Front Squats (45 lbs)
Medicine ball sit-ups (8 lb ball)

It took forever to get home from CrossFit this morning. There was an accident that closed the middle lane and then a cop car was blocking the right lane. It was close to where two major roads merged, so everyone had to be patient and work together so we could all get into the left lane. When I drove by the accident site, the car that was being loaded up on the tow truck had a smushed front end. What a sucky way to start the day. I hope no one was hurt!

We had a mandatory accounting/grants/legal training today at 1:30 PM. It was scheduled for 2 hours, but only took 1 thankfully. Since I've been at the organization for a while, I've heard the same shpeal several times already, but I understand why it's necessary to do it on an annual basis.

I got my first sale of 2016 today, whoo hoo! It was for an origami panda Valentine's Day card. This customer is definitely thinking in advance!

CrossFit and an Unusual Facebook Friend Request

Blah, Mondayyy. Ok, let’s do this!

6:30 AM CrossFit, check! We worked on our push presses. 3x5 at 65 lbs.

Today’s WOD was:
8:00 to complete:
- 600m run or 750m row (I ran…wow, was it cold outside!)
- 50 push-ups (with black and red bands)
- max pistols (to bench)

One of my coworkers complimented me on my makeup this morning and said that I wore the dark lipstick well. Aw. It’s Sephora cream lip stain in Blackberry Sorbet, in case anyone was curious.

One interesting thing that happened today was that my boss sent me a Facebook friend request. I haven't accepted it, and I'm not sure that I will. I am Facebook friends with other people at work, some people at a higher level than I am at. I have to be careful of what I post anyway since there's a chance that it'll get back to my boss, but eh, this is kinda weird, right? We had previously talked about this too, about how she would not friend me on Facebook unless I friended her first. I'll just let the request sit there for a while until I figure out what to do.

Sunday Funday!

Sunday Funday!
  • 8:30 AM spin class, check! I gave the spin instructor a set of 8 cards that I made. Since this is the season for getting back on track from the holiday eating, I figured this would be a good no-fat, no calorie token of my appreciation.
  • Did some window shopping to get the rest of my 10,000 steps in. I went to Ulta and they had new NYX cosmetics stuff, but there wasn't anything that I really needed or liked. New York & Company had lots of stuff on clearance, but same story. Oh well, I saved my money for a rainy day.
  • My aunt and uncle invited my sister and me to their house for dinner tonight (hooray for leftovers!). They gave us a preview of the slideshow they will be showing at their 50th (?!!) wedding anniversary party in February. We caught some mistakes in the sequence of pictures and dates so it's good that my uncle had some fresh eyes to take a peek.
It’s back to the office tomorrow. I haven’t sat in my cube since December 16! While it was nice to have a break, I miss my work friends. At least my boss is on vacation this week, and I can ease back into the routine.

CrossFit, Cards, and the Comeback Kid

9:30 AM CrossFit, check! 6th class in a row…

Partner WOD
A) Complete 200 squats
farmers hold (25 lbs each hand)
B) Complete 150 sit-ups
plate squat hold (10 lb plate with arms stretched in front)
C) Complete 100 box jumps (20 inches)
plank hold

You could switch however you liked, but if the partner dropped the hold, you HAD to switch. My sister and I did the workout in a little over 20 minutes, whew! Ow, my abs. I mean, my ass. No, actually, really, it’s both. Compared to the other partner workouts we've done this holiday, this one wasn't too bad. I think the 12 Days of Christmas one was the hardest out of all of them. One funny thing that happened was that Coach Mike took our 20 lb dumbbells that Julie and I were going to use for our farmers hold and replaced them with 25 lbs. "Thank you..." and walked away. Hah.

My cousin texted me this picture of my parents. Looks like they are having a good time on vacation.
A productive afternoon/evening post-CrossFit…
  • Went grocery shopping
  • Made chicken/veggies dinner with a tikka masala packet
  • Ate said dinner with my sister. Commiserated on how everything hurt as a result of this morning’s workout. Watched John Mulaney’s “The Comeback Kid” on Netflix and laughed our heads off.
  • Made some more cards and Facetimed with Dad in Taiwan. He was in the middle of a seemingly fierce game of mahjong (if there is such a thing) with my other relatives.

Happy New Year!

NYE was fun! I went to Alexandria to hang out with Robyn and her 2 bengals. Good food, good company, good movie (Pitch Perfect 2) = good times. There was also a fireworks show at midnight at National Harbor that we could see from her apartment.

It was back to the CrossFit gym at 10 AM today for another partner workout: Complete rounds until your TEAM has run 2000m.

Partner A: 400m run with a medball (10 lb)
Partner B: Work through the following…
16 OH lunges (25 lb plate)
16 Push-ups
16 Hollow Rocks
16 OH Squats/Goblet squats/Air squats

When your team completed 2000m of running, you and your partner had to complete 16 burpees together (8 each).

I did more of the running and my sister did more of the weight work. Whew! I snapped this progress picture when I got home, and I can’t wait to see how things turn out at the end of 2016.

RJ was in the same spot that I left him this morning.

I had a free Redbox movie code so I used to it borrow Ant-Man. It was pretty good! I remember Paul Rudd from Friends, so it was cool to see him add "superhero" to his filmography. I'm glad that I didn't go to the movie theater to see it because of all the flying special effects.
