Fall-To Layout 90

I was lucky today! The card that I made tonight worked for 2 card challenges on 2 separate blogs: clean&simple's Fall-To Layout #90 and Simplicity by Lateblossom's One-Layer Wednesday challenge (add a ribbon).

I normally don't use StazOn ink for clear stamps because the ink kinda pools, but I was looking for a teal color and I don't have one in chalk ink. I was, however, pleasantly surprised that the pooling ink on the stamp left a slightly textured effect on the resulting image. I've been looking for an excuse to use that bird stamp too! :) I wasn't expecting to make the Smile card on the right, but because I stamped the sentiment crooked on my first try of the bird card, I was determined to figure out a way to use the white cardstock base anyway.
Card Specs (hugs and kisses):
Ink: StazOn in Teal Blue, Colorbox chalk ink in Dark Peony
Stamps: The Paper Company Studio- Whimsical Birds (bird), K.I. Memories- Crazy Love (heart), Hero Arts- Thinking of You Messages (sentiment)
Punches: We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper

Card Specs (smile):
Embossing powder: Stampendous! in white
Embossing ink: VersaMark
Ink: Colorbox chalk ink in Blackberry
Stamps: Fiskars- Oodles of Doodles (flower), Fiskars- Sentiments (sentiment)
Punches: We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper, Fiskars scalloped sentiment border punch
