Crafty Sunday

I was battling a slight cold today, so any thoughts of going outside flew out the window. I made the most of my day by making a few origami cards and goodies for my Etsy shop and for the next craft fair. I had 3 sets of origami stars that didn't sell last season, and they all sold yesterday, which was totally unexpected. I thought it'd be a good idea to have a few more sets handy for the next few craft fairs just in case there's repeated interest. If at first you don't succeed...

I also spent a lot of time today bookmarking things on Etsy that I want to give people for Christmas. I foresee my PayPal taking a nosedive soon, but hey, go handmade, right?

I went over to Wee Memories today to check out their challenge (#31: using patterned paper). I decided to do some paper piecing in the background of the card and then tack on a label with the sentiment. I decided to add the flower and rhinestones to use up the white space.
Card Specs:
Ink: Colorbox chalk ink in Blackbird, Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Barn Door
Stamps: Studio G (sentiment)
Paper: Me & My Big Ideas- Sugarplum, American Crafts- Metropolitan
Punch: We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper
Flowers: Prima
Brad: Recollections- Silver Circles
Die: Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels 8
Foam adhesive: Thermoweb
Thread: DMC- Ecru
