One-Layer Wednesday #29

I'm totally liking the card that I made today! Today's one-layer Wednesday challenge (#29) was to make a card inspired by one of the cakes featured in this Cake Wrecks: Sunday Sweets blog post. My eyes scanned through the cakes, and while I thought each one was uniquely special and beautiful, I was most inspired by the blue one made by Catherine Joanne Cakes. Even though I didn't have the right shade of blue for a cardstock base, I was determined to find a way to make the card work. Instead of white on blue, I did blue on white. I tried to mimic the group of white flowers with a wave-y flower stamp from Inkadinkado. When I finished off the stamping, I felt that the card still had too much white space. I figured that the stitching and Glossy Accents on the larger flower centers would be a nice finishing touch.

Card Specs:
Ink: Colorbox chalk ink in Prussian Blue, Blackbird, Yellow Ochre, French Blue
Stamp: Inkadinkado (group of flowers), The Paper Company Studio- Greetings (sentiment, dark blue and yellow flower)
Punch: We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper
Other: Glossy Accents
Other: Black Sharpie Ultra Fine Point marker
