I decided to skip Janice's spin class tonight due to a current case of the sniffles. :P
Here's my attempt at this week's Moxie Fab World's challenge (Moxie Chic). I was inspired by the ruffles on the shirt, so I incorporated a similar touch with the red ribbon at the bottom of the card. To stay true to the colors in the inspiration picture, I used white and black cardstock. The original card had pink, but it didn't tie in very well with the other elements of the card. The resulting card gave off a Twilight-y, emo-y feel so I didn't think that a "Hello" or "Get Well Soon" or any of my go-to sentiments would have worked. I felt that the sentiment that I picked out matched the rest of the card much better. The big black flower and red flower are both embossed for some extra texture.
Ink: Colorbox chalk ink in Blackbird, VersaMagic chalk ink in Cloud White.
Stamps: The Paper Company Studio- You Go Girl! (sentiment)
Punch: We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper
Die: Sizzix- Tim Holtz Alterations Tattered Flowers (flowers)
Embossing Folder: Cuttlebug (Swiss Dots, Victoria)
Brad: Recollections- Silver Circles
Foam adhesive: Thermoweb
Ribbon: Sweet Petites from A.C. Moore
