Office Computer Raffle

This afternoon was an event that all my coworkers (and myself) had been waiting for all week: the office computer raffle. Staff can put in one of their business cards into the bowl for a chance to win one of the laptops that's retiring (aka too old to use for work). There were 14 laptops up for grabs, which was encouraging. But, alas, I didn't win. However, a girl whose first day was TODAY won a laptop (she scribbled her name on the back of another coworker's card). Seriously??? AND, a person who won two computer raffles ago won another laptop this time! Ugh. Oh well. They won the laptops, fair and square. I'll stop being a grouch about it.

I wandered over to the Making Memories blog today and remembered that I had a Making Memories paper pad that I bought on clearance I had yet to crack open and use! I made sure to use some for today's card and card challenge (Card Positioning Systems #171). I also used this opportunity to use these metal letter stickers that I got in the package that my Prima flowers Ebay auction win came in. How random, but I'm thankful nonetheless. I like that this card uses a little orange...I'm not usually an orange person, so it's nice to step out of my comfort zone. Look, no ink! Shocking.
