A Lesson in Scale

Nothing like a good spin class to tackle lethargy. The gym is doing some sort of promotion this week, and I saw on the calendar that Anna is scheduled to teach another class on Wednesday night. I hope I didn't misread it because it'd be awesome to take 2 Anna classes in one week.

I had this card idea brewing in my head throughout the day. I knew I wanted to use flowers and a napping kitty stamp that I had sitting on my desk. I think the card turned out cute, but if I ever did a similar card, I'd be more aware of the scale. Notice how the cat is smaller than the flowers. I'm telling myself that it's a kitten, so that's why it's smaller compared to the flowers. Or maybe the flowers are like sunflowers- super tall. I think it's kinda ironic that today's card had issues with scale because I JUST recently read a blog post about the importance of scale. I guess the lesson didn't really sink until after I finished the card. Oops. Oh, P.S., this card only took me 1 try. Whoo hoo! And check it out, it's one layer! I was going to add some butterflies, but decided to stop because then there'd be way too much going on.

Card Specs:
Ink: Colorbox chalk ink in Rose Coral, Charcoal, Prussian Blue, Yellow Ochre
Stamps: Fiskars- Friendship Garden (flowers, stems, leaves), Fiskars- Just Between Friends (sentiment), Hanko Designs (cat)
Punch: We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper

Song of the day: "If We Ever Meet Again"- Timbaland feat. Katy Perry.

It's very pretty. I think it's a happy accident as it looks like the flowers and the kitty are being basked in sunshine and the flowers jut grew and grew while kitty napped. :)
