One-Layer Wednesday #10

I decided to camp out at home today. There was no way I was going to be able to concentrate at work beyond the pounding in my head. Maybe all that junk TV (read: Real Housewives of NJ) that I watched last night did something to my brain.

I was feeling better tonight after sleeping most of the day (whew!), so I decided to venture to the gym to get a workout in. I might as well watch TV at the gym instead of on my butt at home.

The theme was patriotic cards for Susan Raihala's One-Layer Wednesday card challenge this week. I dug around my stamp stash for some patriotic stamps, but then came up with nothing. No flags, no map of the USA. Meh, ok, not a big deal. That's why I decided to use individual letter stamps to spell out "God Bless America." I used two different sets for some visual interest. I topped of the card with some "fireworks" made of stamping starbursts multiple times in clusters.

Card Specs:
Ink: Colorbox chalk ink in Prussian Blue, Warm Red, Yellow Ochre, Olive Green
Stamps: Heidi Grace- Alphas, Reagan's Closet (America), Inkadinkado (God Bless), The Paper Company Studio- Playful Expressions (starbursts)
Punch: We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper

Love the way this turned out! You're much better with alpha stamps than I am! I would have smeared ink all over the page! LOL! Awesome "sparklers" too!
