Unnecessary Worry

I was bracing myself as I was walking from my car to the gym. I was expecting that Janice the spin instructor would call me out for not being in her class last week. I had a legitimate excuse- I was out of town for work! When I walked into the spin studio, it turns out that my worrying was unnecessary because there was a substitute. I liked her...I wouldn't mind if she subbed again.

For tonight's card, I wanted to use the large background stamp that came in the Asian Inspired set from Fiskars. Ideally, I would use the Fiskars stamp press to transfer the ink to the cardstock, but since I don't own one of those, I decide to improvise by putting the stamp on my working surface, ink it up, and press the cardstock over it. Ok, I admit that it didn't leave a perfect impression and after 2 tries, I decided to go in a different direction. Instead of covering the whole front of the card with the background stamp, I decided to use my paper trimmer and cut a chunk out that looked ok. I was going to stick the stamped floral/butterfly piece on as-is, but something about it didn't look right. Hmmm, what could it be? Ah-ha! It needed rounded corners. Much better. :) I'm in love with that K&Company paper!
