If at First You Don't Succeed...

Yeah, I'm sure you know how the saying goes. Try try again. With that said, I gave those foam squares from yesterday another try. They were still difficult to work with, but not as bad as before. Practice makes perfect I guess. I decided to make a non-traditional Valentine's Day card today. Non-traditional in the sense that there really isn't much red or pink (well, the ribbon I used is a pale pink, but it's not really the focus of the card). The card sketch I used was a spinoff off of CPS #149. I dug into my craft drawer for some rub-ons that I bought a while ago (2 years?). I can't remember the last time I used a rub-on, so it's nice to revisit old supplies.

Card Specs:
Paper: My Mind's Eye, Bloom & Grow
Ink: StazOn in Timber Brown
Rub-on: American Crafts, Mini Marks, Accents, Book Two
Punch: Fiskars Twist & Flip 2-in-1 corner punch
Foam adhesive: Making Memories

Tough spin class tonight. 'Nough said. :P

Song of the day: "Wild at Heart"- Gloriana.

I think it's refreshing that you used a green and ivory motif for this Valentine's Day Card. February is always so saturated with reds and pinks.

I lie this Valentine's card.

I gave away my rub-on letters to someone that was in a booth next to me at a craft show in November. She said she has a hard time finding small letters. I said, "Oh, tomorrow I will have you some!" I took them and was ahappy she could use them. They had been in my craft drawer for more years than I can remember! LOL
